St. James Town

The centrally located St. James Town, with Bloor Street East to the north, Wellesley Street East to the south, Parliament Street to the east and Jarvis Street to the west, is one of Toronto’s most densely populated neighbourhoods in the downtown core. Consisting of many apartment high-rise buildings and over seven thousand units, the semi-suburban St. James Town has a widely diverse and multicultural population.

With easy access to the Bloor-Danforth (Line 2) subway, many residents can conveniently travel in-and-out of the city and downtown core. A revitalization project has brought many initiatives to rebuild community centres, construct social amenities, maintain existing apartment buildings, and improve local parks.
